  • We will have a girls cabin and a boys cabin, each with a camp supervisor

  • Even kids who are cautious about staying away from home have found it comforting; there is always someone there to help

  • It does take courage to camp away from mom and dad, so please prepare your child for the big event ahead of time

  • If your child will be camping overnight, please bring a warm blanket, sleeping bag, and pillow.  There will be sleeping cots provided for them.

  • The camp will take place at Red Willow River, a beautiful forested 200-acre sight, near Beaverlodge AB.

  • There will be trained first aide person/s on site.

  • All children will only be near the river when supervised

  • I am in charge of the majority of operations, however, there will be at least three other adult supervisors at all times.  This is my eighth year running this camp (plus more in Nelson BC) ; the past seven have been a wonderful happy success.

The camp begins with a sharing circle, where we will get a chance to explore what our inner gifts are, our passions and what we would like to work on developing throughout the weekend. There will be group activities such as Yoga, hooping, musicians, dance,  intro to meditation, spirit animal journey and painting, guest making dream catchers with children, and wilderness walks.  There will also be areas set up for many arts/craft projects, and regular wilderness activities and walks.  We will have a petting zoo bring farm animals for the children to pet.

I will be available for children if any challenges come up.  There will also be two qualified senior camp counsellors (application process in hiring) as well asat all times and a few wonderful junior camp counsellors. There are guest 'teachers' who come in to do the various activities with the kids throughout the camp.
